C'est notre semaine 5 à 6. A commencer par dimanche passé et jusqu'à dimanche prochain, l'église se réveille tous les jours tôt pour prier de 5heures à 6heures. Nous prions pour notre nation, C'est une semaine heureuse pour Abba House. C'est notre semaine 5 à 6. A commencer par dimanche passé et jusqu'à dimanche prochain, l'église se réveille tous les jours tôt pour prier de 5heures à 6heures. Nous prions pour notre nation, nous prions pour l'église, nous prions pour des personnes spécifiques que nous voulons voir connectées à Dieu. Nous perdons un peu de sommeil, mais il y a de quoi. Je passe un très bon moment, mes temps de prière ont gagné en dynamisme. Bien entendu, je me réveille une heure plus tôt que mon heure de réveil et prière habituelle et j'ai parfois l'impression que c'est 3 heures plus tôt, mais que c'est bon! Curieusement je me réveille toujours avant que le réveil ne sonne et certaines nuits, la plupart du temps je ne dors pas, je prie dans mon esprit. Il se mijote certainement quelque chose. J'aime prier. Lorsque, jeune convertie, j'ai reçu le baptême dans le Saint Esprit, je suis rentrée chez moi, me suis retrouvée seule à la maison, et j'ai passé l'après-midi à prier en langues. Ça a duré des heures et j'ai découvert un nouveau monde de dynamisme spirituel qui m'était auparavant inconnu. J'étais aux anges. Ensuite, j'ai fais partie d'une église où des réunions de prière se déroulaient tous les jours de la semaine, et chacun pouvait venir n'importe quel jour pour prier. Je ne m'en suis pas privée. Depuis la prière est devenu un aspect essentiel de ma vie à des degrés d'intensité variés au fil des ans. J'aime former les gens à la prière. Tout le monde peut prier puissamment et merveilleusement. Certains sont paresseux et n'y arrivent jamais, certains sont passifs, d'autres ignorants. Je ne veux être ni l'un ni l'autre. Lorsque nous aurons un local pour l'église, il sera ouvert pour la prière, matin et soir. Ceux qui veulent pourront venir tôt le matin avant d'aller au travail pour prier et le soir pourront aussi se rassembler pour prier. Ce sera un privilège pour moi de voir Abba House devenir une assemblée de personnes qui aiment la compagnie de Dieu, qui aiment L'écouter et Lui parler. Et de 5h à 6h cette semaine, nous prenons tous plaisir en Sa compagnie ensemble. Celui qui voudra commencer plus tard sera hors jeu naturellement. En revanche ceux qui auraient commencé à 5h peuvent continuer au delà de 6h; moi, je le fais systématiquement, une heure c'est court. Ainsi, nous offrons à Dieu une symphonie, nous bâtissons l'unité de l'église, nous indiquons notre désir de Le voir agir au milieu de nous en tant que corps en élevant nos voix au même moment, dans différents lieux, vers notre Père. Have you ever imagined what would have happened had Jesus packed it all in? What would have become of us? The letter to the Philippians aptly describes His willingness to empty himself and become a servant and suffer the ignominy of the cross. Now for deserving and grateful people, one might be tempted to heroism. But Jesus was faced with skepticism, ridicule, opprobrium heaped on Him by the very people He came to help. Even those who should have known better, His own clergy despised and treated Him disgracefully. True He was also extremely popular and well respected by the people and even some of the leaders, and massive crowds followed Him, but the very same people finally turned against Him and asked for His head and the release of a notorious prisoner. And it was not as if the die was cast and no retreat was physically possible, afterall in correcting Peter for drawing his sword He made it quite clear that He could call on legions of angels and He would be delivered, yet He did not. He faced ignominy, opprobrium, shame, hypocrisy, ignorance, unfounded allegations, persecution, became persona non grata in the eyes of foolish men but did not back down. He saw beyond these and saw the joy set before Him and therefore endured. He knew the end would be infinitely delicious. Because of that, God 'highly exalted Him and gave Him the name that is above every name'. He had a choice, you have a choice. To every person in the throes of pain over what people have done to you or said about you as you earnestly strive to serve God; To every person struggling to uphold their biblical values of morality and holiness as around them people mock and deride and they temselves wonder what is the point; To every usher, singer, volunteer who feels undervalued, unappreciated, despised, and left on the sidelines; To everyone who has poured out their lives for others and find themselves vilified and despised; To every shepherd afflicted by the ingratitude of the sheep, Consider Jesus. every time you feel inclined to repay evil for evil, ever time you feel inclined to tell the whole truth about your tormentors and accusers to their detriment, every time you wonder what is the point in all this, every time you feel like simply doing your own thing and forgetting about church, God and the whole crowd, every time you are tempted to retreat into your shell and give up; Consider Jesus. He saw beyond the natural, He saw beyond the visible, endured the pain of the process, and proceeded to change humanity. He calls you to walk in His footsteps. Do consider Jesus. bola ogedengbe clean
