23 Powerful Prayers to Know God!

Below is a series of prayers for growing in God's revelation. Make a habit of praying these prayers. The most important thing in a human being's life is their perspective of God and their relationship with God. This profoundly conditions your existence and determines not only your eternal destiny but also the quality of your life on earth. These prayers are adapted from our morning prayers at ABBA HOUSE.

There are twenty-three points in all. Meditate on the verses and pray the points listed. Let the Holy Spirit inspire you.

Prayers of Revelation of God as Father

1 John 3:1-3 New International Version (NIV) 3 See what love the Father has bestowed on us, that we should be called children of God! The world does not know you because it did not know him. 2 Beloved, now we are children of God

In the name of Jesus

1. 1. Thank the Father for His extraordinary love for you.
   2. Thank Him that we are called children of God, that we ARE children of God.
   3. Pray for a revelation of God as your Father.
   4. Pray that every member of your church, every person in your family, will know God as their Father.

Prayers for the action of the Holy Spirit

Romans 8:14-17 New International Version (NIV) 14 For all who are led by the Spirit of God are sons of God. 15 And you did not receive the spirit of slavery again to fear, but you received the Spirit of adoption, by which we cry, “Abba, Father!” 16 The Spirit himself bears witness with our spirit that we are children of God. 17 And if children, then heirs—heirs of God and joint heirs with Christ, if indeed we suffer with him that we may also share in his glory.

In the name of Jesus,

1. Thank the Father for the presence of the Holy Spirit in your life and His action in our assembly.
2. Submit to the Holy Spirit so that you may be totally directed and led by Him in the knowledge of the Father and in your destiny.
3. Ask that every member of your church, every person in your family, be more sensitive to the Holy Spirit in order to fully receive the testimony that He gives to the children of God.
4. Pray for a revelation from God that will free from all rejection, from all fear and all dread in order to live worthy of Him
5. Thank God for the glorious inheritance that is yours in Christ Jesus, and may He enable you to grasp it fully by His Spirit.
6. Declare that you are completely free from bondage, fear, and every work of the devil.
7. Ask that you may grow in the knowledge of God in all His attributes and in the freedom of the Holy Spirit.

Prayers to Know God's Kindness and Protection

Ps 68.6-7 6 The father of orphans and the defender of widows is God in his holy habitation. 7 God gives shelter to the lonely; he sets prisoners free and makes them happy; only the rebellious dwell in deserts.

Matthew 7:11 New International Version (NIV) 11 If you then, being evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your heavenly Father give good things to those who ask him.

In the name of Jesus,

1. Thank our Father because he is your Father and your Protective. Declare that you have no more fear and you are at rest because of Him.
2. Thank Him because He is gracious and watches over His own.
3. Thank Him because He is the One who delivers you and makes you happy.
4. Thank Him for all the good things He gives you. Ask Him to grant you the ability to see His goodness clearly and to believe in it deeply.
5. Ask for revelation for every member of your church, every person in your church family, kindness of God towards him.
6. Ask for awareness of the provision infallible of God in your lives in all circumstances

Prayers to Know God in His Power

Psalms 62:11-12 New International Version (NIV) 11 Do not rely on oppression or hope in plunder. Do not set your heart on increasing riches. 12 Once has God spoken; twice have I heard this: that strength belongs to God.

God said one thing, and he repeated it, and I heard it: the power is God's. (BDS)

In the name of Jesus

1. May I grasp the immensity of Your power.
2. May the eyes of every member of my church, every person in my family be opened to see the power of our God.
3. Father, multiply acts of power among us like never before to honor Your name.
4. May every member of my church, every person in my family be mightily strengthened and walk in the understanding that God's power will always work on their behalf.
5. May there be an increase in healings, deliverances, and answers to prayers in your church and everywhere you are.
6. May God be glorified in your life, your church and in all your activities.
7. May all occult powers that seek to thwart God's action in your life, your family and your church be paralyzed and put out of action.
8. We say thank you for your loyalty and reliability.
