Day 6 – Prayer for the government

This morning we pray for the government; we pray for the president and the ministers, for the national assembly and the senate;

Reading: (1 Timothy 2:1-4)

I urge therefore, first of all, that supplications, prayers, intercessions, and giving of thanks be made for all men; for kings and all who are in authority, that we may lead a quiet and peaceable life in all godliness and honesty. This is good and acceptable in the sight of God our Savior, who desires all to be saved and to come to the knowledge of the truth.

Let us ask that

• God make known to them His will for our nation
• God gives them the wisdom to govern according to His heart
• themselves be touched by the love of God and the truth of the gospel
• Let us pray that political circles in general may be won over to Jesus.
