PARAKLETOS 2010 is off to a good start. Yesterday we held another prayer meeting and it was moving, too strong, too strong, too strong. There is a dimension in prayer where you are no longer conscious of any effort, where you are carried and it flows from you like a torrent. There you don't think about what you are going to say, you don't compose your sentences, you don't choose your words, but you declare, you let the torrent flow, and you discover, amazed, what comes out of you. You are conscious of being connected to God and of praying His will.
His will is what Jesus told His disciples to pray—that His will be done on earth as it is in heaven. We have been asking since the first meeting that all of God's will regarding this holy convocation be done. We cancel and refuse anything that will hinder His will. We ask that all who come receive all that He has planned to give them. We ask that what He had on His heart when He gave us the mandate to call this convocation be fully accomplished.
And that's all that matters. We are agents of the accomplishment of the divine will. Our role is to agree with Him so that He does what He wants done and to use the authority He has delegated to us to undermine anything that would oppose it. And we are happy to do so. And when we have this perspective on prayer, our attitude changes, we no longer feel that we have to force His hand, on the contrary, we cooperate with Him, pray with boldness and assurance convinced that He hears us, and that we have what we have asked (1 John 2:5).
And we are convinced that lives will be transformed at Parakletos 2010, convinced that many will be restored, healed; that the war-wounded will be restored, put back on their feet, and re-equipped for battle; that every man and woman who comes will be propelled into a new dimension in prayer; that Europe will one day resound with songs of praise. This is His will; we have asked for it; with faith, we believe we have received it. We want only one thing: that God be pleased with what happens at Parakletos 2010, and ultimately, that is all that matters. This is what we will ask again at the vigil this Friday.
