Are you wondering how to know God? You may or may not practice religion, but one thing is certain: you are aware that you don't really know Him. How can you know Him and have a relationship with Him? It's simple: through Jesus. Why?
Human beings are separated from God because of sin, let's be clear. For them to be reconciled with God, sin must be removed. Requests for forgiveness are not enough. God has provided the solution. He sent his Son to earth, who took our sins upon Himself and bore our punishments. The Word of God tells us (Isaiah 53) that
The punishment that brings us peace was upon Him.
And she adds that all of us like sheep have gone astray, each of us following his own path, separated from Him and condemned forever because of our sins. Some might say: yes, but why do we speak of sins? But we ourselves speak of sins in relation to others. We are aware that there is a right way and a wrong way, and we are always ready to say: so-and-so has offended us, and we do not think that we are offending God, a pure, holy, and perfect God?
And so that our offenses would not be held against us, Jesus came to take our place, to take the punishment that should have been ours. So Jesus became man and lived in our place as a human being, He was crucified, offered as a sacrifice for our sins. Today, iThere are still people who sacrifice goats and rams for the forgiveness of sins, but Jesus is the Lamb of God who was sacrificed once for all for the forgiveness of sins.
But He did not stay dead. He was resurrected on the third day, thus gaining victory over sin and death. The price was paid, and through His life, we can all pass from death to life. He was raised into heaven and returned to His heavenly glory, which He had left behind to come to earth.
And so that our offenses would not be held against us, Jesus came to take our place, to take the punishment that should have been ours. Share on XWhat should be done?
What we need is to put our faith in Him for our salvation, recognizing that we cannot save ourselves. He has substituted Himself for us, and it is as if we have paid for our sins and can be restored to a right relationship with God. When we come to Him, we are forgiven. When we come to Him, we are spiritually transferred from darkness into the kingdom of God. There are two places in the spirit, darkness and light.
Note this: We cannot know God just because we pray. For our sins to be forgiven, we must come through the One who paid the price for humanity's sin. To know God, and to be reconciled to the Father, accept the means He has provided for this, the blood of Jesus which was shed for you.

Let us pray together to know God:
Father, in the Name of Jesus, here I am before You. I want to be reconciled with You. I recognize that I am a sinner and that I have gone my own way. But today I turn to You. I recognize that Jesus died in my place for my sins and that He took the punishment that was due to me. I put my faith in Him today, and Father, I ask You to forgive me. Save me. Receive me into Your family in the name of Jesus. Amen.
And now, what to do?
God never rejects those who come to Him through Jesus. Be assured that if you have prayed this prayer sincerely, with the help of the Holy Spirit, you can believe that God has worked in your life. Now,
- start praying, talking with Him every day,
- to read your Bible and,
- Find a Christian community where you can learn to walk with God.

Know that all we can know about God, we can know because He reveals Himself in the Son and the Holy Spirit whom the Son has sent to us enables us to grow in revelation. We are totally dependent on the Lord.
