How to pray in a crisis situation? How to pray against COVID-19? For the past three weeks, we have been holding daily meetings (except Monday and Tuesday of last week) to pray and exhort in these special times.You will find all 21 meetings on YouTube.) And this week, a prayer chain has been established. For anyone who wishes, here are the prayer requests to nourish your intercession.
1. Submission
Ps 46. 11 “Be still, and know that I am God! I rule over the nations, I rule over the earth.” 12 The Lord Almighty is with us; the God of Jacob is our fortress.
Father, in the name of Jesus, we acknowledge Your majesty and authority and submit to You to do Your will in the nations in this season.
2. Mercy
2 Chronicles 7:13-14 Segond 21 (SG21) 13 When I shut up the heavens so that there is no rain, when I command the locusts to devour the land, when I send pestilence among my people, 14 if my people who are called by my name will humble themselves and pray and seek me and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven and will forgive their sin and will heal their land.
Father, in the name of Jesus, we repent of our sins. We ask forgiveness for our lack of seriousness in prayer, for carelessness and ingratitude; for compromise. We ask forgiveness for ourselves, for the Church, and for our nations.
We ask for Your mercy and forgiveness, and we ask You to heal the nations and save them from Covid-19. Save, heal, and deliver the nations.
3. The power of God
Psalms 65 Segond 21 (SG21) 2 To you, O God who dwells in Zion, goes our hope and our praise. To you we will fulfill our vows. 3 You who hear prayer, all people will come to you.
Isaiah 40:26 New International Version (NIV) 26 Lift up your eyes to the heavens and see! Who has created these things? He brings them out in order. He calls them all by name. His power is so great and his strength so powerful that not one of them is missing.
Father, in the name of Jesus, we praise and celebrate You because You are great and You answer prayers. And You are with us. Our trust is in You.
- You keep your covenant
- It is because of your kindness that we are not destroyed
4. Strengthen Your Children
Isaiah 40:31 The New International Version (NIV) …but those who wait for the Lord will renew their strength and mount up like young eagles; they will run and go forward without growing weary.
Isa 46:3-4 Listen to me, you house of Jacob, all you who are left of the house of Israel! I have borne you from your mother's womb, I have carried you from before you were born. 4 Even to your old age I will be the same, and even to your gray hairs I will sustain you. As I have done before, I will still bear you, uphold you, and preserve you.
Father, in the name of Jesus, strengthen the faith of Your children so that they may stand firm and bring Your light to the nations afflicted by this plague.
5. New converts
Luke 22:31-32 The New International Version (NIV) 31 Simon, Simon, beware! Satan has asked for you, that he may sift you all, as wheat is separated from the chaff. 32 But I have prayed for you, that your faith may not fail you. And you, on the day you return to me, strengthen your brothers.
Father, in the name of Jesus, touch new converts so that they may stand firm in their faith and emerge stronger from this period. May every attempt of the devil to turn them away from You fail.
6. Let the nations humble themselves
Ps 46.9-12 Come, behold |everything the Lord does, the devastations |that he operates on earth.10 He stops the fighting |to the ends of the earth, the bow he has broken |and he broke the spear, he consumed it with fire |all war chariots[ 11 "Stop!" he said, |acknowledge me as God. I will be glorified by the peoples, |I will be glorified on earth.”12 The Lord is with us |heavenly armies. We have for citadel |the God of Jacob.
Father, in the name of Jesus, use this situation to bring the nations to humble themselves before You to receive salvation in Jesus.
7. Silence the bad guys
Lamentations 3:37-40 Segond 21 (SG21) 37 Who has only to speak for something to happen, if the Lord has not commanded it?
Isaiah 44:25 Segond 21 (SG21) 25 I thwart the signs of the fortune-tellers and I strike down and madden the soothsayers; I make the wise retreat and expose the stupidity of their knowledge.
Father, in the name of Jesus, silence the voice of the wicked. We cancel all predictions and occult manipulation so that Your healing may quickly manifest in the nations.
8. Alarm clock
Micah 4:2 The New Living Translation (NLT) 2 Many nations will come and say to one another, “Come, let us go up to the mountain of the Lord, to the temple of the God of Jacob. He will teach us the ways he has commanded; we will walk in his paths. For out of Zion will come the Law, and the Word of the Lord from Jerusalem.”
Acts 2:5 Now there were dwelling in Jerusalem Jews, devout men from every nation under heaven. 6 When they heard this, they ran together…
Father, in the name of Jesus, bring about massive revival in the nations as You deliver them from this epidemic. Grant that we may reach people online from every nation under heaven for their massive conversion.
9. Suicide, wave of depression
Ps 46.9-12 Come, behold |everything the Lord does, the devastations |that he operates on earth.10 He stops the fighting |to the ends of the earth, the bow he has broken |and he broke the spear, he consumed it with fire |all war chariots.
Father, in the name of Jesus, deliver the nations from the spirit of suicide, depression, and anxiety. Stop every mental and psychic attack. Let the fire of God consume the spirits of suicide, depression, and anxiety.
10. A vision of the future
Jer. 33.3 Call on me, and I will answer you. I will reveal to you great and unattainable things, things you do not know.
Father, in the name of Jesus, pour a new vision of the future into the hearts of one another. Remove despair and give hope. We reject depression, hopelessness, suicide, etc.
11. Thanksgiving
Matthew 7:7-12 Segond 21 (SG21) 7 Ask and it will be given to you; seek and you will find; knock and the door will be opened to you. 8 For everyone who asks receives, and he who seeks finds, and to him who knocks, the door will be opened. 9 Which of you, if his son asks for bread, will give him a stone? 10 Or if he asks for a fish, will give him a serpent? 11 If you then, being evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your heavenly Father give good things to those who ask him.
Father, in the name of Jesus, we thank You because You hear our prayers. And we believe that everything we have asked for will be granted.
12. Those working in essential services
Matthew 18:19 New International Version (NIV) 19 Again I say to you, if two of you agree on earth about anything they ask, it will be done for them by my heavenly Father.
Father, in the name of Jesus, we ask in Your grace for protection over all those who are forced to work so that others can eat and receive medical care. Bless all those who work in essential sectors.
13. Wisdom for those in charge.
Proverbs 28:26 New International Version (NIV)26 He who trusts in his own heart is foolish, but he who walks in wisdom will be delivered.
Father, in the name of Jesus, we ask You to grant wisdom to politicians, doctors, and scientists. May they make the right choices and decisions. We ask that decisions made in developing countries not lead to social conflict, hunger, and deprivation.
14. Healthcare staff

Father, in the name of Jesus, we ask You to protect medical personnel, all those caring for Covid-19 patients, and all those who are sick. Protect them from contagion and depression. Bless their families and protect them.
15. Healing the sick
Acts 4:30-32 New International Version (NIV) … use your power to perform healings, signs, and wonders through the name of your holy servant Jesus.” 31 When they had prayed, the place where they were gathered together was shaken, and they were all filled with the Holy Spirit and spoke the word of God with boldness.
Father, in the name of Jesus, release Your power and let Covid-19 patients be healed around the world. We pray for miraculous and dramatic recoveries.
- May by the power of God every trace of disease in my body be wiped out.
16. Prayer against strong men
Isaiah 49:24-29 24 Can a strong man be rescued from his captivity? Can righteous prisoners escape? 25 This is what the Lord says: The prisoners of the strong will be freed from him, and the capture of the violent will escape. I will accuse your accusers, and I will save your children. 26 I will make your oppressors eat their own flesh, and they will be drunk with their own blood as with new wine. Then everyone will know that I am the Lord, your Savior and your Redeemer, the Mighty God of Jacob.
Isaiah 1:31 New International Version (NIV) 31 The strong man will become like hemp, and his activity like a spark; they will both burn together, and there will be no one to quench the fire.
Father, in the name of Jesus, rescue the nations from the grip of this pandemic. Free the prisoners of the strongman.
- Judge the strong men and the violent men who have promoted the spread of this pandemic.
- Let them be drunk with their own blood, and let their wickedness fall upon them.
- Oppose sponsors and agents of wickedness.
17. Joy in the midst of torment
Psalms 4:6-9 New International Version (NIV) 6 Offer sacrifices of righteousness and trust in the Lord. 7 Many say, “Who will show us good?” Let the light of your face shine upon us, Lord! 8 You put more joy in my heart than they feel when their grain and their wine [and their oil] abound. I lie down and immediately sleep in peace, for you alone, O Lord, make me dwell safely.
Father, in the name of Jesus, grant to those who cry out to You rest, joy and peace in the midst of torment.
18. Save the nations
Jeremiah 17:5 New International Version (NIV) 5 Thus says the Lord: Cursed is the man who trusts in man and makes flesh his strength and whose heart departs from the Lord.
Father, in the name of Jesus, we turn our hearts back to You, our trust is in You, and we ask You to intervene to save the nations.
19. Passion for souls.
Acts 26:18 New International Version (NIV) 18 I am sending you to open their eyes so that they may turn from darkness to light and from the power of Satan to God, so that they may receive forgiveness of sins and inheritance among the saints through faith in me.'
Father, in the name of Jesus, open the eyes of Your Church and renew our passion for souls (as we see thousands dying). May the Church awaken to see our generation's need for the Gospel. May it see itself as salt and light and a help to many..
- May the good news of Jesus be like fire within us, so that we cannot help but proclaim it. Make us inexhaustible about You.
- May the fire of Your Spirit lead to an extraordinary harvest this year
20. Repentance and Healing for the Nations
2 Chronicles 7:13-14 New International Version (NIV) 13 If I shut up the heavens so that there is no rain, if I command the locusts to devour the land, if I send pestilence among my people, 14 if my people who are called by my name humble themselves and pray and seek me and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven and will forgive their sin and will heal their land.
Father, in the name of Jesus, we repent on behalf of Your Church for having turned away from Your ways. We have become spiritually impoverished, we have lost the fear of God. We have sought the approval of men instead of the approval of God. We have followed the thoughts of men and despised Your thinking. You are God, sovereign and exalted.
- You who sit and reign over creation, who dominate the nations, you who hear prayers, we ask your forgiveness. Bring your Church back from wandering, open our eyes and give us a heart of repentance.
- May the fear of Your name once again be omnipresent in Your Church. We have loved sin and rebelled against Your ways. Lord, forgive, Lord, save. In accordance with Your word, hear from heaven and heal the nations.
21. The success of scientific and governmental actions
Prov.8. 14-1714 "Counsel and success are mine. I am understanding, and power is mine.15 By me kings reign, and rulers decree what is right.16 By me rulers and great men rule, and all the judges of the earth.17 "I love those who love me, and those who seek me find me.
Father, in the name of Jesus, we pray for all those involved in finding solutions and for governments.
- Give them advice and success
- Gives intelligence and discernment
- Let the rulers command what is right
- And that doctors know success
22. Virus elimination
Mark 11:21-24 New International Version (NIV) 21 Remembering what had happened, Peter said to Jesus, “Teacher, look! The fig tree you cursed is withered away.” 22 Then Jesus said to them, “Have faith in God. 23 Truly I tell you, whoever says to this mountain, ‘Be moved and thrown into the sea,’ and does not doubt in his heart but believes that what he says will happen, it will be his. 24 Therefore I tell you, whatever you ask for in prayer, believe that you have received it, and it will be yours.
Father, in the name of Jesus, let this virus be dried up to its roots and disappear.
23. Prayer for the salvation of nations
Ezekiel 36:37 37 Thus says the Lord GOD: I will again be inquired of by the house of Israel, to do for them, and I will multiply them like a flock.
Father, in the name of Jesus, give to Your Church a spirit of prayer and supplication to stop this scourge and bring about the massive conversion of nations.
- Give those who do not know You a conviction of sin, powerfully touch this generation.
- Transform into good what the enemy wanted to use to destroy.
- Awaken the consciousness of this generation to its humanity and its smallness before You.
- Let the fear of God pervade society. Reveal Yourself to all who seek You.
24. Stops contagion on continents
James 5:17-18 The prayer of a righteous man has great power. 17 Elijah was a man with a passion like ours. He prayed earnestly that it would not rain, and it did not rain on the earth for three years and six months. 18 Then he prayed again, and the heavens gave rain, and the earth produced its fruit.
Father, in the name of Jesus, through Elijah's prayer, you stopped the rain. Through our prayers, stop the contagion. Spare South and Central America; deliver North America, Africa, Asia, Oceania, and Europe. Thank you because you honor the prayer of your children. We decree the end of this scourge.
25. Prayer against those who have contributed to the spread of the coronavirus.

Ps 27.2 When the wicked come against me to take me for their prey, they, my persecutors and my enemies, stumble and fall.

Father, in the name of Jesus, intervene against all those who in one way or another have deliberately promoted the spread of this virus. You, the avenger, avenge the orphaned children, avenge the grieving families, avenge the people ravaged by this plague. Do not remain silent.
- Oppress the oppressors, and let their wickedness return upon them; let the sun smite them by day and the moon by night.
- Take away their peace, that they may know nothing but pain and affliction until their sad end. May the earth reject them.
- Strike with madness all those who have wanted to substitute themselves for You, to decree and create what You have not ordered. Show the stupidity of their knowledge.
26. Acceleration of the solution

Father, in the name of Jesus, grant a significant and accelerated breakthrough that will normalize this virus. May, by Your power and intervention, its terror disappear from the nations.
27. The blood of Jesus for victory
Revelation 12:11 New International Version (NIV) 11 And they overcame him by the blood of the Lamb and by the word of their testimony, and they did not love their lives to the point of death.
Father, in the name of Jesus, by the blood of Jesus we destroy the power of this scourge. We declare our victory and our preservation.
28. Thanksgiving to the Shepherd.
Psalms 79:13 Segond 21 (SG21) 13 And we, your people, the flock under your care, will praise you forever; from generation to generation we will declare your praise
We thank you, Lord, for you are our Shepherd and you care for us. Because of you, we feel safe.
29. Dependence on God
2 Chronicles 20:12 New International Version (NIV) 12 Our God, will you not judge them? For we are powerless against this great multitude that is coming against us, and we do not know what to do, but our eyes are on you.
Father, in the name of Jesus, we acknowledge our humanity; we are without human solution, but our eyes are upon You.
- You are our help and our refuge (ps 91)
- You are our light and our salvation (ps 27)
- Our refuge and strength, an ever-present help in times of trouble. (Ps 46)
- Provide a way out of this situation.
30. Against the spirits of fear and terror
Psalms 46 New International Version (NIV) God is our refuge and strength, a constant help in times of trouble. 3 Therefore we will not fear when the earth is in turmoil, when the mountains are shaken in the heart of the seas, 4 and when the waves of the sea roar and foam and rise up, until the mountains shake.
Father, in the name of Jesus, we take authority over the spirit of fear that is ravaging the nations and we neutralize it, over our lives, over the nations and over the leaders of the nations.
31. Miraculous Intervention
2 Kings 3:17 Segond 21 (SG21) 17 For thus says the LORD: You will not see wind nor see rain, but this valley will be filled with water, and you, your livestock, and your cattle will drink.
Father, in the name of Jesus, we ask for Your miraculous and sudden intervention to destroy COVID-19, deliver the nations, restore the economies of the nations, and breathe new life into Your Church.
32. Return to Holiness
Hosea 6 New International Version (NIV) “Come, let us return to the Lord! For he has torn us, but he will heal us; he has struck us, but he will bind up our wounds. 2 He will revive us in two days; on the third day he will raise us up, and we will live before him. 3 Let us know, let us seek to know the Lord! His coming is as certain as the dawn. He will come to us like the rain, like the latter rain to water the earth.”
Father, in the name of Jesus, may the Church, through this experience, rediscover her first love and return fully to You. May she be delivered from the love of the world and of futile things.
33. Expansion of the Church
Deut 31.7-8 “Be strong and courageous, for you will go with this people into the land that the Lord swore to their ancestors to give them, and you will put them in possession of it. 8 The Lord himself will go before you and be with you. He will not leave you or forsake you. Don't be afraid and don't let yourself be frightened."
Father, in the name of Jesus, we ask for an awareness of the greatness of God and the smallness of men. May nations humble themselves in submission to You. May the Church emerge strengthened and expand after this ordeal.
34. Spare the nations
Genesis 18:16-33 17 Then the LORD said, “Shall I hide from Abraham what I am about to do? 18 Abraham will become a great and mighty nation, and all the nations of the earth will be blessed in him. …22 The men departed and went toward Sodom, but Abraham still stood before the LORD. 23 Abraham approached and said, “Will you really destroy the righteous with the wicked? 24 Perhaps there are fifty righteous people in the city. Will you also destroy them and not spare this city for the fifty righteous people who are there? 25 To put the righteous to death with the wicked, so that the righteous are left with the wicked—this is not your way! Will not the Judge of all the earth do what is right?” 26 The LORD said, “If I find fifty righteous people in Sodom, I will spare the whole city for their sake.” 32 Abraham said, “Do not let the LORD be angry, and I will speak only this once. Perhaps ten people will be found there.” The LORD said, “I will not destroy it for the sake of ten righteous people.”
Father, for the sake of the righteous, spare the nations.
35. Provision
Phil. 4.6 Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. 7 And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.
Father, in the name of Jesus, we ask that You provide for all those in poor countries who will be affected by these lockdown measures. Provide for their needs.
Protection declaration
- I will not die, I will live and I will tell what the Lord has done.
- I will live long, I will not die before my time.
- My immune system resists any attack.
- By the blood of Jesus, I receive victory over every attack.
- All disease in my body is wiped out
- I command every spirit of infirmity to leave me
- I rest in the shadow of the Almighty
- The fire of God destroys all affliction in my life, and surrounds me like a wall.
- Every arrow of infirmity returns to the sender.
- My body is cleansed of all poison by the purifying fire of the Holy Spirit.
