Friday, another wonderful day in the kingdom.
I was supposed to have lunch with an old friend who was passing through. Arriving late at the restaurant, the kitchen was closing, and we were offered a salad, which I accepted. In the end, I was the only one eating because my two companions had just had a hearty (late) breakfast and were therefore content with drinks.
While she was serving us, I saw God's favor on the waitress, and I began to prophesy over her. I told her about her life, I 'read her mail' as they say in English. Surprised, she asked me 'Are you a clairvoyant?' I replied that no, I was a pastor and God speaks, and God was speaking to her right now. With that, she told us her story, and that was it. Just as wonderful as the accuracy of what was told to her was the sense of divine destiny it carried.
The young woman who was accompanying my friend said, amazed, after the waitress left how wonderful it was to be led by the Spirit in this way. My response was that it was the normal life of a Christian. She had been converted for three months, and I explained to her that she could and should live like this. Just before we paid the bill, the waitress brought us three coffees, offered by her, not by the house, and she insisted; since she didn't drink coffee, she offered me a tea. We couldn't believe it. She just wanted to bless us. Wow! God certainly makes us pleasing to people.
Young man
A little later, as I and Béa were heading towards our Bible study at Les Invalides, we came across a young man who was staring at us; the opportunity was right, we shared the gospel with him and led him to the Lord.
Open-air study
Glorious, this Bible study, settled on the lawn of the Invalides, on a gloomy evening exercising our faith so that it does not rain and sharing on Essay 40. Coming to the verse that exhorts us to look at the sky, what a pleasure to lie down on the lawn and contemplate the sky and imagine God calling each of the stars by name.
Also delicious is the moment when someone in the group didn't understand the reference to chapters and verses, like Isaiah 40:15, what is it? When I have to explain to someone that the books of the Bible are divided into chapters and verses, I become enthusiastic, excited, happy, and I know that I am beginning to reach those who have not yet been reached by the gospel; and that is why we are here.
This is far more exciting to me than engaging with those who inform me that in order to come to my church, they need to know how much I preach about the end times and the symbolism of the apocalypse. I happily encourage them to seek pastors whose spiritual dimension is infinitely superior to mine.
Young woman
On the way back, running as usual on Friday nights, to catch my train, I came across a young woman talking to a young man who knew the person I was with. She seemed to be in bad shape, I started to encourage her, we took the train together and continued the conversation. Before she got off, I prayed for her that she would find sleep because she could no longer sleep; I spoke to her on the phone the next day, she slept like a baby.
Yet another wonderful day in the kingdom.
