It's 7:00 a.m. I just finished prayer 5 to 6 and I'm still under the influence, and it's good. It's good to wake up in glory. Yesterday was the last prayer meeting to close the fast before our seminar and God was there. I always make a point of taking time before conferences to pray for those who will serve, so that they themselves are filled and overflowing before giving. And we were all filled. God blessed, beyond our expectations. At the end, I could no longer stand, the glory was so thick. When God visits, nothing to say, simply breathtaking. We left happy, happy, happy.
On the way back, I said to those who were with me, 'I am refreshed' and I was, heart, soul and spirit, because when I came I was exhausted after a hard day and the next day promised to be too; with a particularly intense professional activity at the moment plus the preparation of the conference. Besides, I did not see how I was going to physically hold out to lead the prayer in the state I was in, but God…. I saw that others too were tired at the beginning, had had trouble finding the place, or had left work late, but their hearts were in it, fully. That's the test of commitment, the heart. And they left fulfilled. He touched us. Someone said as they left, 'That was good! We want to do it again.' What extraordinary encouragement before the seminar.
And that is the supernatural of God. Our faith is supernatural, our God is supernatural, and he has supernatural resources for us. He is waiting for a people who will honor and be faithful to Him, and then He pours out. Ah, God is simply magnificent. That is why the psalmist declares, 'I have never seen the righteous forsaken.' If only Christians could understand that we have nothing better to do than pray, that God is not insensitive to the needs of our lives, nor to our schedule (besides, how foolish to argue the blessings He gives us to justify our lack of attendance!). He is not unreasonable either, but when we honor our appointments with Him, He honors us. He has given us an appointment this weekend at the seminary, we will be there wholeheartedly, and we know that He will amaze us again. That is completely His style. Wonderful, our God.
