Jour 13 - Servir le Seigneur - (Sujets de prière 21 jours de jeûne)

One of the secrets of spiritual health and power is serving the Lord. God has saved us for service. Whatever is God's will allows us to grow spiritually. So let us pray for a heart to serve God.

The instructions are the same: we pray for the church, current members and those who will join us, and we pray for ourselves.

Theme: Serving the Lord

1. The mandate of creation/redemption

Gen 1:28 And God blessed them, and God said unto them, Be fruitful, and multiply, and replenish the earth, and subdue it: and have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over every living thing that moveth upon the earth.

Father, in the name of Jesus

Give me the revelation of the mandate of creation/redemption
Change my way of thinking so that I live only for things of no eternal value.
Establish in me Your vision for humanity

2. Responsibility

^{1 Cor.9.16}For I have no reason to boast about preaching the gospel, for it is a duty imposed on me. Woe to me if I do not preach the gospel! ¹⁷Ah! certainly, if the decision to perform this task came only from me, I would receive a salary; but since this decision did not depend on me, I am only discharging a duty entrusted to me.

Luke 16:1014 10 He who is faithful in a little thing is faithful also in much, and he who is dishonest in a little thing is dishonest also in much. 11 So if you have not been faithful in unrighteous riches, who will entrust you with true riches? 12 And if you have not been faithful in what is another's, who will give you what is your own? 13 No servant can serve two masters, for either he will hate the first and love the second, or he will be devoted to the first and despise the second. Father, in the name of Jesus

Establish in us the awareness of the obligation to serve You
We ask you to strengthen us in the task you have for us
Give us a heart not to fail in our responsibilities
Deliver us from all love of money and material things
May your work not suffer in our hands because we are greedy for money.
Give us a true passion to serve You

3. Fidelity, diligence

Ephesians 6:21 New International Version (NIV) 21 So that you also may know my circumstances and what I am doing, Tychicus, my beloved brother and faithful servant in the Lord, will make everything known to you.

Matthew 25:14-30 14 For it will be like a man going on a journey who called his servants and delivered his possessions to them. 15 To one he gave five bags of silver, to another two, and to a third one, to each according to his ability. And he left immediately. 16 The one who had received the five bags of silver went and worked with them and made five more bags of silver. 17 Likewise, the one who had received the two bags of silver made two more bags of silver. 18 The one who had received one bag of silver went and dug in the earth and hid his master's money. 19 After a long time, the master of those servants came and reckoned with them. 20 The one who had received the five bags of silver came and brought five more bags of silver and said, 'Lord, you delivered to me five bags of silver.' Father, in the name of Jesus, we ask You

Grace to be faithful
Grace for being diligent
A keen awareness of our responsibilities
The grace to serve You with joy
Grace to bear abundant fruit

4. A vessel of honor; a builder

2 Timothy 2:20-21 20 Now in a large house there are not only vessels of gold and silver, but also of wood and of earthenware. Some are for noble use, some for dishonor. 21 Therefore, if a person cleanses himself from these, he will be a vessel fit for noble use, holy, useful to the master, prepared for every good work.

Nehemiah 2:20 20 I answered them, "The God of heaven will prosper us, and we his servants will arise and work. But you have no portion, no right, no memorial in Jerusalem."

Father in the name of Jesus

May I be useful to You all the days of my life
Grant me wisdom and divine ability to serve You fully
Blessed are the works of my hands
Like Nehemiah, make me a builder
Grant me the grace to be constant and not to be destabilized by mockers.

5. Your power to serve

Acts 4 31 And when they had prayed, the place where they were gathered together was shaken: and they were all filled with the Holy Ghost, and they spake the word of God with boldness.

Father in the name of Jesus,

I ask for your power to be effective in the harvest field
Grant that I may serve You with full assurance.
Sharpen me in the exercise of natural and spiritual gifts for Your work.
I dedicate myself to Your service, equip me Lord

6. Raise me Father

1 Samuel 18:14 The New International Version (NIV)14 He prospered in everything he did, because the Lord was with him.

Matthew 6:33 The New International Version (NIV)33 So set your mind first on the kingdom of God and on what is right in his sight, and all these things will be added to you.
