Is there an essential key to successful missionary work?
I think so. When I was newly converted, I didn't want to join a church because I had a lot of prejudices against Christians. I loved Jesus, that was good. But no; it wasn't good because I didn't understand the importance of the local church or the need for every child of God to be rooted in an assembly and to serve God. Today I see people saying they love God and they consume spiritual food at home without the slightest interest in the local church, and generally speaking, the same people are also totally disconnected from serving the kingdom. As long as things are going well in my life, everything is fine.
Now the quality of my life is not measured by what I receive from God but by what God receives from me. This is the fruit I bear. For example, the apostle Peter speaks of the need for the Christian “to no longer live according to the desires of men, but the will of God, during the time he has left to live here below“.
God's will
Someone will say, 'Yes, that's all I ask for: God's will for my marriage, my finances, etc.' Certainly, these things are included in God's will, but they must serve a cause greater than myself, God's will for humanity and for His church. What is God's will then? Jesus told us before his ascension, 'that we lead the nations to become His disciples,' that we teach His Word to all, that His church be built, that the good news of Jesus be preached throughout the world, that people be saved, healed, restored, reconciled to God as the Holy Spirit works with US.
The key
Andrew Murray said this “Local and international missionary work can only be done properly when every Christian considers that the sole purpose of his existence on earth is to work for the kingdom of God.”That's what is said. That's it. essential key, every Christian who lives only to work for the kingdom of God; every Christian who is determined, zealous, enthusiastic and passionate about His work. Indeed, the current state of our societies is the result of Christians' indifference to service and their obsession with their own happiness.
But serving God is not for people who have solved all their problems or who have a special calling. It is the calling of all Christians.
According to Titus 2.14 if Jesus came to give himself it is to save us, and to constitute himself a people who belong to God and who zealously accomplish good works. God has work to do on earth, and His people have a responsibility to live exclusively in service to His work. Your sole purpose and destiny on earth is to serve God.

I know, this sounds rather strange because for many it's the other way around; God lives in the service of our works. At least, that's what our attitude reflects. When people don't serve God and treat the church with indifference, it's because they haven't understood what the meaning of their lives should be now that they belong to Jesus. And many so-called mature Christians continue to live only for themselves and serve God as a secondary activity, something they either congratulate themselves on or complain about. They're wrong. What was a privilege has become a chore or an inconvenience.
God wants us to be absorbed, obsessed, and consumed by His work, finding satisfaction only in the effectiveness of our work rather than in the state of our bank account. Are you obsessed with the salvation of your generation? You should be. That is the true measure of your value in God's kingdom. All you have to do is decide and ask God for help to change.
The judgment of work
In reality, God does not force us to be interested in what interests Him, but He has informed us in advance that a day will come when He will conduct an in-depth analysis of our works. 
Furthermore, Jesus promises a reward in this world as well as at the end of time for those who have made sacrifices to follow and serve Him. It is therefore up to each person to ask themselves whether their service to God corresponds to the Father's desire. Am I a good servant of the kingdom?

Service training
According to Ephesians 4:11-16 God has given to the church apostles, prophets, evangelists, and pastors and teachers so that God's children may be trained, or as the New International Version puts it, 'made fit for service,' for the building up of the church.
Hence the need to be part of a local assembly, which is the place of training par excellence where you are made capable of carrying out your service, but also the first place where this service is exercised. Instead of being begged to be serious in church, the Christian aware of his life's purpose is the one who asks, asks to be equipped, asks to serve.
Everything you benefit from in a local assembly exists because someone has worked for God. Do the same. We have a generation to win for God.
