We thank you because we are here, because Jesus is Lord. Amen. Not because we are unhappy and need help, although we do need help. But because Jesus is Lord.
Because we have come to the conviction that there is no other name that can be named by which we can be saved except the name of Jesus. This is our motivation. Amen. We have come to the knowledge of the truth.
Through your kindness, you have revealed to us the reality of your Son Jesus. And that is why we are here for these 21 days. Because we believe that Jesus is Lord. We believe that he is the Son of God. We believe that he is God. We believe that he is the Savior and the Lord. And that is what brings us here.

We know that You have invited us to this place. And so we come to this place. We are not content to look away when we could move. We choose to move and present ourselves before You as an assembly because we believe that Jesus is Lord and we intend to follow what He is asking us to do at the beginning of this year.
And what He asks of us is to present ourselves in this place. And we will do it; because we believe that Jesus is Lord, that He is God, that He deserves our obedience, our submission, our respect, our service and we also know that we are entirely dependent on Him. Amen.
And so Father, we come to court You for these 21 days. Amen. We come to court You, we know that You are already gracious to us, but we come for You and we go to this trouble to fast and to travel all this way, even if it is nothing. It is nothing but this little that we can do. It is the least that we can do. Simply to tell You, Father, that we honor You. Amen.

This prayer, which I prayed under the inspiration of the Holy Spirit, has blessed me greatly and spoken to me. It is instructive, for us who were gathered together and for everyone.
In reality, what we are experiencing during these times is a spiritual summons. God is inviting His people to converge at a place to meet Him. He is the one who initiated the meeting, and He wants to deal with His people. We have therefore come for Him and we can be assured of His presence. Indeed, His presence was palpable from that first meeting.
Then, moving to gather means that they present themselves as an assembly, a body, a people united under his governance, not individuals, each in his own corner. The Word of God testifies to the gatherings of God's people. For example, men were to present themselves at set times before the Lord. And they did so despite all the trouble they had to take.

It is in the place of convocation that grace is released. God has patterns and systems of operation. And when we cooperate, we are positioned for abundant grace. Cooperating with God, obeying, and going the extra mile to go His way, has great benefits because God is a King who demands respect and obedience. And He rewards obedience.
Furthermore, following His pattern is a testament to honor and respect. It's not about arguing that we're just as good remotely as we are in person; no, it's not about us. It's about the honor we give Him, the value we place on His Person.
