For some it is already too late; for others it is despair; but we believe that the Most High continues to rule over human kingdoms. We believe that he is calling His Church to put on again the garments of intercession and call into existence on earth the purposes of God.
And in July, from the 5th to the 8th, it will once again be the Parakletos season, our European prayer convention that rekindles the flame of prayer in all hearts. PARAKLETOS is the meeting place for lovers of God, men and women of prayer who are committed to working for the future of their nations. This is our story.
Historical
The first conference held in 2006 was born out of the vision given by the Lord to mark the hundredth anniversary of the outpouring of the Holy Spirit on Azusa Street, which led to a tremendous renewal of the Church and a new era of the manifestation of the presence and power of the Holy Spirit on earth.
Focus on prayer
For two and a half years, always in the sense of the action of God the Holy Spirit, under divine mandate, we have focused our spotlight on prayer, an indispensable element for our intimacy with the Father, for a strong Church, and for the transformation of our societies. We want God to act in our generation, God wants to act in our generation, but there is a connection to be made in prayer so that His desires become manifest.
Who has the answers?
Our continent is going through a serious economic crisis that continues to cause political and social upheavals. However, as we have seen, men and governments do not have the answer, neither to the spiritual aspirations of peoples nor to the well-being of our societies. The solution lies in the One who rules over the world's kingdoms. He calls his people to don the garments of intercessors to invite His intervention into our world.
Why European?
A European conference, PARAKLETOS, brings together intercessors from different nations; around ten countries were present at the last conference. As we know, national borders no longer exist; decisions made in one country influence another, and choices made at the European level influence the entire continent. It is therefore essential that men and women who pray can unite in this new geographical space to call into existence God's plans for the continent.
PARAKLETOS 2012
An opportunity not to be missed to meet with other men and women of prayer; to become a man and woman of prayer. Everyone will be encouraged, challenged, transformed, taught, and will be able to experience the intensity of God's presence that blesses us so much at PARAKLETOS.
It is a time of connection, a time of communion, of sharing experiences, a time of praise, of prayer and, this is what the Father has placed in our hearts for this conference, a time of joy in the presence of the Father.
