We don't give up, we continue to pray from 5 to 6 a.m., the first week of the month. These first two days we pray for consecration, first personal, then (Tuesday) for the church. "Consecration is a voluntary act which consists of giving oneself entirely to God." EM Bounds.
Pray, then, that Abba House may be a church desperately in love with Jesus, willing to do anything for Him; that God may make each person a committed, faithful, constant, reliable and serious person towards Him and towards their service to Him within the church.
EM Bounds said, “Prayer precedes consecration, accompanies it, and is its direct result. None Consecration is worthless unless it is the direct fruit of much prayer, and unless it leads to a true life of prayer. Prayer is preeminent in a consecrated life. ..Total consecration is what characterizes the pinnacle of the Christian life….In the same way that men who do not pray are an obstacle to Him, preventing the success of His cause, so unconsecrated men are useless to Him, and prevent the accomplishment of His glorious plans in redemption.”
So for the church – consecration, surrender, passion for God; commitment, seriousness, fidelity in His work. Shalom
