This is the daily life of many children in the developing world who lack access to clean drinking water. We want to change this for a community by raising $5,000 to drill a drinking water well. This way, children will no longer be exposed to diseases caused by drinking unsafe water, which kill one in five children in Africa before the age of five. For the price of a coffee, I can change a child's life.
The MUST website was created one day after the 2004 tsunami disaster. A natural disaster such as a tsunami can cause infectious diseases in the affected area, resulting in a high mortality rate.
Messages were sent to all mobile phones in the disaster area with information about the use of safe drinking water and the prevention, diagnosis and treatment of diarrhea and dehydration.
The MUST website is under development and in the future MUST messages will be used worldwide in disaster-affected areas.

Must 1: Prevent diarrhea/dehydration
Prevent diarrhea/dehydration: drink CLEAN fluids and practice good hygiene.
MUST 2: remove particles
Solid particles must be removed; use a cloth or a coffee filter
MUST 3: Treat hazardous (non-potable) water
1 liter of dangerous water: 4-7 drops of chloride or iodide. 30 minutes = 1 liter of drinking water
MUST 4: Boil for a short time = enough
Bring the water to a boil, making it drinkable. It is not necessary to boil the water for more than a minute.
