Trinkets, gems, life choices.

I love the fact that God knows us well and knows what we are capable of. So, I learned that one of the smartest thingsyellow-diamonds_10830352The only thing I can say to Him is 'Yes Lord', especially since He never says anything unreasonable. When I say 'Yes Lord', I am putting myself in agreement with Him and opening the way and my heart for Him to trigger the transformation that will allow me to become and do what I never imagined I could become or do.

An example; many people are reluctant to surrender to God because they think it will be very hard to live up to God's high standards, very hard to fast, very hard to pray, very hard to go to church, very hard to share their faith, very hard to act with integrity, and, most of all, most of all, very hard to love everyone. They think, how am I going to give up sexual sins? I won't be able to get drunk on Saturday nights anymore, I'll have to stop lying and saying bad things?

And one can easily mortgage one's eternal destiny in order to continue wallowing in the mud of life. It's a high price to pay for a few fleeting 'pleasures'. But It's frankly not necessary. Why? Because of the extraordinary work of Jesus on the cross, through which God's power and divine ability are now available to those who believe in Him; the ability to live in accordance with His heart. So, when you put your hand in His, give your heart and life to Jesus, He saves you and literally pulverizes the power and hold of sin in your life.

And throughout your walk with Him, you will continually experience His supernatural power within you. You become able to do what you couldn't do before, to say no to what you couldn't say no to before. In fact, the Bible says that the same power that raised Jesus from the dead works within us. So God's power is there for those who will obey Him. Salvation is a supernatural act by which supernatural power is imparted to us. But we must choose to use it.

Furthermore, God goes even further, He even changes our hearts and desires. He gives us, according to the Bible, the will and the doing of His good pleasure. So, when God expresses a desire, it is simply up to you to say, 'Yes, Lord, change my heart so that I too will want what You want, and then give me the ability to do it.' It is about being willing and obedient, and it is such people, according to Isaiah, who 'will eat the best of the land.'

So the question to ask is not, 'Can I do it?' It is, 'Am I willing?' and 'Do I accept that He makes me willing?' If so, He will make the required change, and you will find yourself loving the things you thought you could never do, and hating the things you previously believed were essential to your happiness. You discover that you are, and can do, more than you thought, because the divinity of God comes upon your humanity.

So he makes you grow, develops you, broadens your horizons, expands your boundaries, destroys your limitations, and makes you another man, another woman. He can do it and He will, if you allow it. And the first step is surrender. But how important is that to us? That's really the heart of the matter. 'What is valuable to me, what is the supreme value in my life?' Do I want to succeed in my life by making it correspond to God's primary plan, or do I want to cling to trinkets and let precious stones slip through my hands? What I'm clinging to is my god. Question: in light of my life choices, who is my god?

  1. Yes Lord you took all our sins on the cross and through this work on the cross we can now live a life that is pleasing to you. Say no to sins and say yes to the one who gave us his life so that we might have life. What joy!! Thank you Jesus

  2. Hello everyone!

One of the most wonderful things about the Lord is that He sees the finished product in us. No matter where we come from, our failures, our setbacks, He knows in advance what He will do with us.
He carves us, shapes us, polishes us, like a precious stone. Because we are so precious in his eyes.
It all starts with a decision! When you say YES, he immediately gets to work on your task. The result is glorious and leaves us speechless.
    How I love you Lord!

  3. I admit that in 10 years of walking with Jesus, I no longer recognize myself. As a song says: “You've turned my life upside down”, my life with Jesus is extraordinary, turned upside down for 10 years. I love the changes I see in myself. Even when I struggle, He always has the last word and He makes the changes He wants in me. What a pleasure to see myself say or do what I refused before. And what is great is that He keeps the good things in us and improves them, and He removes the bad things from the moment we tell Him “change my desires, change my heart”. Powerful is our God!!! If He could change the atheist that I was, or my brothers who were crooks, robbers, drug addicts, dealers, prostitutes, or simply lost, I know that He can do the same thing in anyone, on one condition, that they say “YES LORD”!

  4. Hmm, like it!
“My friend, what you came to do, do it” I believe, according to the scenario, that Holy Spirit is supposed to grab me at this precise moment! Ok for all! :)
