How is this possible?

How is this possible, how can I believe such glorious, such wonderful things and yet not be completely consumed by them? Is this not the worst vileness that can exist? Is this not proof, if proof were needed, of the gaping gap that exists between unredeemed man and a holy God?

How can I testify to faith in a God who became man for the sole purpose of saving me, thereby enabling me to have a relationship with Him, without being totally transported with gratitude, exultation and joy?

How can I believe that Jesus is who He says He is and not be radical in my commitment to Him? Is there any perversity worse than this: to believe that Jesus is the Savior while continuing to live as if He were only a minor distraction in my life?

Is not lukewarmness in faith a terrible thing, perhaps more terrible than the absence of faith? For where some say they do not believe, can those who say they believe treat with such casualness what they should esteem more precious than all things?

May God deliver us from verbal protestations of faith coming from cold and indifferent hearts. Should those who know so much about Him allow themselves to spend entire nights and days without bowing their hearts, trembling their lips, without prostrating themselves in adoration, moved as they are by Him who is Mercy?

If God is the greatest good, indeed the only good; ignoring Him would surely be the greatest sin. Oh God, let my heart be pierced again and again.

  1. Yes, how is this possible? I ask myself this question so often: how is this possible???
Does this stop me from continuing to ignore this ..(UNQUALIFIABLE) God? NO! But how is that possible???!!!
I want to change!!! AND I WILL CHANGE!

Oh Lord, reveal to me the power of your sacrifice on the cross.
Penetrate my heart with your love, open my eyes to the greatness that You are!
I desire that my heart beats in rhythm with His heart.
I desire to live a life in the passion of my King. I refuse to settle for less, but I want to experience the glory of God in this life.
