Yesterday at midnight, after returning from the first prayer meeting of the year, I couldn't sleep. I was overexcited and taken aback by what God had done, and it was completely unexpected. On the way home, I was thinking that if God intends to continue like this, and there's no reason why He shouldn't, we're in for a truly extraordinary year. With God working like this, how can we not spread out everywhere, expecting to see people shaken by God's power?
We are rational beings and therefore seek to use logic to arrive at a conviction. However, in every man and woman lies dormant the desire for the supernatural, after all we are supernatural beings; and while I am always willing to explain the rationality of the Christian faith, I am more than open to a totally supernatural action of God to break the indifference and show the reality of a world other than the visible, the natural and that of human logic.
Towards the end of last year, various people at Abba House began to have profound experiences with the Holy Spirit. We are still seeking to remain sensitive to His presence, but I want more. Tonight seems to herald good things to come. And we intend to go further in our quest. One quickly becomes addicted to the presence of God, at least. I am. What is worship in the absence of God? I cannot cease to marvel that the God of glory and majesty allows His people to experience His presence.
I firmly believe that we can build a church that is totally centered on the manifest presence of God, and not on the music, the show or the artifice of any kind; I am convinced that it is possible to raise up a body of believers who are not in church for the good music, the 'vision' alone, the friends or because it is the new trendy place in the Christian universe, but because they desire God so ardently that they cannot help but come together to worship Him, honor Him, serve Him and experience His presence together.
I firmly believe that we can raise up Christians who are totally captivated by Christ and who live exclusively for His Person, and that we will become the place on earth that is not visited from time to time by His glory, but where His glory dwells.
This is our destination in 2009. We are counting on Your help, Father.

More than thrilling, we never get bored with God. We are supernatural beings called to live in a supernatural dimension. And I completely share your prayer, as long as we have not given ourselves entirely to God, we cannot imagine all that He can do in and with us.
Since I have been walking with Jesus, I have been aware that I am evolving in a supernatural dimension and it is exciting.
I know this is just the beginning and that God has bigger and more exciting things in store.
Oh yes, I pray that Abba House will be filled with souls who are eager to become living stones with which God will build His Church.
