A few days ago, another opportunity to reflect on God's goodness. I received an email from someone at church asking for prayer because she was sick and off work. I then asked someone else to call her and pray with her for healing. The person I asked informed me that they had already prayed with her on Tuesday. 'Yes,' I replied, 'but now call her on my behalf and pray for her; the anointing will be even stronger.' She agreed, and I continued, half-joking, 'And she must be healed and in church on Sunday.'
A few moments later, the phone rings and it is the 'prayer' who says to me, 'I have good news to tell you, I prayed for her and all the pain is gone.' We were delighted, greatly encouraged, and even more encouraged when we saw her arrive at the service on Sunday. And the other day, while talking with the person who was healed, she was moved and shared with me her astonishment and joy, because she said, my relationship with God is not the best at the moment, I don't understand why He healed me.
Yes, we also don't understand why He saved us; it's not that we deserved anything, it's His love, His tenderness, His favor that are expressed when He finds someone who agrees to be His hand, His voice, who agrees to hold people close to their heart in His name, to love them in His name, to pray for their healing in His name, to feed them....

Wonderful, simply wonderful!!!
