Healing Jesus

Here's a powerful clip from an episode of the series 'Healing Jesus' where I explore all of Jesus' healing miracles and how He performed healings. Here it's about the woman who was suffering from an issue of blood. She was tenacious, she absolutely wanted to touch Him in secret and grasp His healing. She understood that there was no need to call out to Him; a touch, even without Jesus' knowledge, would be enough. And that was enough for her. Watch the clip; He will bless you.

Often when we talk about healing, people think we're setting ourselves up as experts in healing. They tell us, if you believe in healing, go empty the hospitals. But that's not what it's about. It's about growing in the knowledge of God's Word. And I call you to take that journey too. Decide to grow in the knowledge of God's Word. The truth of God's Word is restored in His church as His people position themselves as learners, as students of God's Word.

If you never pray for the sick, you will never see anyone healed. But know that when you begin to pray for the sick, you will certainly begin to see people healed. We have many testimonies to this effect, and I strongly encourage you to do so. And people's faith is encouraged when they see others healed.

Healing a Stubborn Woman

Think about the woman who was suffering from an issue of blood. How was she healed? She heard that Jesus healed. She made a move, she persisted, and she was healed. You too, if you need healing, make a move today, do as this woman did, and receive your healing. She insisted on touching Jesus without Him knowing because she was convinced that power would come out of Him to heal her.

And Jesus' disciples, what an encouragement to us in our ignorance. Why? Because they didn't know everything either. Jesus claimed that someone had touched him, and they disputed it. They asked ridiculous questions. And sometimes we ask ridiculous questions too.

When this woman surreptitiously touched Him to receive healing, He turned around and asked who had touched Him. It was wonderful. They said, but Lord, the crowd presses around You and You ask who touched You? In other words, they should have asked who did not touch You? Obviously they had not understood anything. Jesus answered them, and He answers us too.

But the question posed is very interesting because it makes us think. Indeed, there was a crowd pressing around Jesus, but in that crowd, only one person made Him feel her touch; she touched Him with determination. And in that entire crowd, only one person was healed. Why? Because only one person released their faith. That person trusted Jesus.

Why do they come?

Many come to watch, many come because they've heard that... and therefore want to see with their own eyes. Many come out of curiosity, many come because it's the place to be. Yes, indeed, you have to be where Jesus is, the new prominent prophet. These days, many come because it's the prominent church, the church of businessmen, for lucrative contracts. People flock to Jesus for different reasons.

But in that crowd there was a woman who had another reason. She wanted to receive her healing. And she received her healing. And Jesus noticed. The power went out from Him to this woman and not to the others. Think about that.
