Parole prophétique : Un nouveau départ (2)

A new beginning

All divine guidance must be received by faith, and faith is the natural consequence of meditating on God's Word. At the beginning of this year, we have a prophetic word concerning a 'new beginning' that God wants to give us this year. To better understand it, it is important to have a foundation in the written text. What God has done is a reflection of his personality and a harbinger of what he will do.

In the previous article, we analyzed the passage from Isaiah 43 where the prophet announces to the people that God will do something new, something marvelous and powerful. His action will be of such magnitude that even the most unexpected people will recognize it, and here, it is about the desert animals who will glorify God when they see what God is going to do for his people.

A new beginning awaited God's people following divine intervention; a new beginning awaits us this year. The principle is established: what God has done is what He will do again, and it is a reflection of His nature. Our faith is encouraged by the testimony of those who, like the people of Israel who returned from captivity, experienced a new beginning because God had kept His promise. And this in different areas. Let us look at some examples of areas where the elders experienced a new beginning through divine favor to be convinced of what awaits us.

1. The restoration of what had been lost

What a striking testimony, that of the first couple, Adam and Eve. Imagine the distress of parents who see one son kill another, and become a vagabond. They lost two sons, and God in His mercy took pity on them. He allowed them to have another child, Seth. Eve testifies to this

Genesis 4.25Adam had marital relations with his wife again. She gave birth to a son and named him Seth, because, she said, "God has given me another son to replace Abel whom Cain killed."

We must expect the restoration of what has been lost. One child does not make us forget another, but it brings real consolation to a distressed mother and gives her further reason for hope.

2. The divine exception for deliverance

This was the experience of Noah, a righteous man among the unrighteous. How can anyone think that everything can disappear and a man is left alone, he and his family? Yet that is what happened, and instead of perishing with the wicked, God made an exception in his case and gave him a new beginning. God told Noah that the end of all men was decided because they had filled the earth with violence. This is what it means to walk uprightly before God; some have an end, he has a beginning. And, as he left the ark, God blessed him as he had blessed Adam at the beginning.

Genesis 9:9 God blessed Noah and his sons and said to them, “Be fruitful and multiply and fill the earth.”

3. Fertility and prosperity

Abraham was already an old man, proof that no one is too old to experience a new beginning. It is important to keep hope. And God made him great, almost unimaginable promises. He would become the father of a great nation, while he was sterile, his descendants would bless the nations of the earth, and he would become very prosperous. He agreed to leave everything, country, family, etc. And to follow God and many years later, the long-awaited child arrived; a new beginning.

4. Change of situation, divine establishment and meeting

Jacob the fugitive had fled from Laban. Then he had to confront his brother, whom he had dispossessed years before. He needed God. And God showed up, he had a divine encounter, and his life was changed forever. He received a blessing, a new name, and a fresh start.

5. Elevation and promotion

Ps 105.17 ¹⁷He sent a man ahead of them: Joseph, who was sold into slavery. ¹⁸His feet were tied with chains, his neck was clamped with iron,¹⁹until what he had said came to pass, and the word of the LORD vindicated him: ²⁰the king set him free, the ruler of the people released him;²¹He made him lord of his house and master of all his possessions,²²so that he may rule his princes at his pleasure and teach wisdom to his elders.

There are few stories of change of circumstances as remarkable as Joseph's. In the blink of an eye, after years of hardship, he rose from slavery to the position of prime minister, established in authority over all except Pharaoh himself. The word of the Lord vindicated him, a new beginning.

6. Reestablishing a call that seems lost

We think of Moses as a great prophet of Israel, a man who walked with God and marked his generation, and it's true. He was the one through whom God's people were led out of captivity and given the Law. But none of this would have happened if God hadn't sought him out in the desert. He became a shepherd, his ambitions to save his people forgotten. He would have ended up as an old shepherd telling stories of his childhood in Pharaoh's palace to unbelieving little children, but God had a better plan for him. He gave him a fresh start. This is a picture of what someone will experience this year.

7. Restoration of health

There was a man who was waiting for a miraculous healing via an angel and had been sick for 38 years. Jesus met him and healed him instantly. He stood up and carried his bed. Two blind men cried out behind Jesus, they said they wanted to see, He healed them. King Hezekiah had received a death sentence from God Himself, he pleaded for grace and was healed. All received a new beginning. The duration of affliction is not the permanence of affliction.

8. Overcoming Delay and Obtaining Your Inheritance – Caleb

The disbelief of others had delayed Caleb for 40 years. And finally, when he arrived in the promised land, he didn't waver; he still wanted his inheritance; he knew his time had come. He hadn't weakened, he had the same vigor as before, and he hadn't given up. He was going to go out and conquer his territory. And he did. You may have had plans in your life, and a lack of cooperation or resources may have delayed you. Tell yourself that it's not too late for a fresh start. Get up and go conquer your territory because God is offering you a fresh start.

Everyone can embrace a fresh start in all these areas, including those listed in the first article. God is doing something new, and by the end of the year, the fruits, the difference, will be seen. And here are some other examples of fresh starts in God's Word. We can:

16. A new glory in the church

When God's people returned from captivity and finally built the temple, some of the elders who had known Solomon's temple were saddened by the comparison between the two. They looked with natural eyes and did not grasp the magnitude of what had just been accomplished in relation to God's plan. God intervened and showed that, on the contrary, the new thing He was doing was better than the old one. He was giving them a new beginning, and they did not know it.

^{Aged 2.6}"For this is what the Lord Almighty says: *Once again, and in a little while, I will shake the heavens and the earth^[, the sea and the dry, ⁷I will shake all nations; the treasures of all nations will flow, and I will fill this temple with glory, says the Lord of hosts. ⁸The silver is mine, the gold is mine, declares the Lord of hosts. ⁹The glory of this latter temple will be greater than that of the former, declares the Lord Almighty, and in this place I will give peace, declares the Lord Almighty.'
