This Sunday after church, I went for a walk with my family to inaugurate my daughter's beautiful tricycle. On the bus, on the way back, there was a young girl beside us who was clearly feeling very bad. Her face was pale, and she was huddled in her partner's arms in pain.
For my part, I looked at her and I said to myself that a bus was really not the right place to offer someone healing by Jesus, especially since everyone would hear me and I wouldn't dare display the power of my God like that... Nonsense! So I decided to let her suffer until she got home to take a pill. What a sweetheart I am, aren't I?
As you get off the bus, On the way home, she was there with her partner, sitting at a bus stop. We walked past them, ready to ignore them again, but before crossing, I dared to ask my husband if he would mind if we went to see them. He agreed. If he had said no, at least I could have said to God, "You see, it's not that I didn't want to, but it's Jonathan!"
So here we are, facing them. I introduce myself, tell her I'm a Christian, and tell her I know the living Jesus can heal her, if she wants. Looking at her friend, she agrees to let me pray for her. I take her hand, and then my husband and I begin to pray for her healing.
While I spoke words of assurance, deep down I was thinking, "At the end of this prayer, if she is still sick or if her condition has worsened, I will look like a fool." But while I was praying, the Holy Spirit put words of knowledge on my lips concerning the social situation of this young girl, leading me to proclaim the victory of Jesus over her professional life, over her future. As soon as we had finished praying, she said to me, "You won't believe it, but I'm not in pain at all!"
During the night from Monday to Tuesday, my daughter developed a high fever, preventing her from sleeping, and forcing me to stay up with her until 3 a.m. But what the illness did not know is that our life belongs to the Lord, and He redeemed the situation by putting it on my heart to pray for this young girl, and another young man I had met. This is what I did. After that, my daughter and I slept like babies, and by the next morning, the fever was gone. AMEN
